"My nonfiction books, Confessions of an Abused Housewife: From Fear to Freedom and I Stayed Too Long: The Many Faces of Abuse We Don’t Talk About, were born from my own experiences. My hope is that they help others recognize abuse, find their voice, and know they are never alone.
My Unbound Luck series, including No Such Luck and Out of Luck, lets me explore another passion. It was creating worlds filled with mystery, magic, and strong characters who discover that even when life seems impossible, hope can still shine through."

Christie, tell us about "you"!
I’ve been writing for over 15 years. Writing has always been more than a hobby for me. It’s been a way to heal, to dream, and to connect with others through stories that inspire hope and resilience. I write both nonfiction and urban fantasy because I believe every story has the power to change someone’s life.
Above all, I love God and my family. They are my greatest source of strength, encouragement, and inspiration. When I’m not writing, you’ll usually find me spending time with the people I love, reading with a cup of coffee nearby, or gardening.
My greatest hope is that every book I write leaves readers feeling encouraged, understood, and reminded that no matter what they’ve been through, their story isn’t over. Every ending can become the beginning of something beautiful.

Great introduction, Christie! What are you currently working on? What's on deck?
Lobo, my first attempt at horror writing, book three of the Unbound Luck series (still untitled), and House Rules, which is a collection of short stories based on board games, but not in the family fun, family friendly kind of way.
Creativity: What inspires you?
"What inspires me to write is the belief that stories have the power to heal, encourage, and remind us we’re never alone. Whether I’m writing about surviving abuse or creating worlds filled with magic and mystery, I want my readers to walk away with hope. My faith in God, my love for my family, and the challenges I’ve faced have all shaped the stories I tell. After writing for more than 15 years, my passion remains the same. To create books that entertain, inspire, and leave a lasting impact on the hearts of those who read them."
